It’s 1 AM. and once again you’ve brought me to this place
And asked that I believe you
To take your pain away.

You know my heart believes you
And that it always will
All I ask is that you break the chain,
And at last release your will.

Your demons are a number
Of a greatness time could never count
They multiply your fears and pain,
Thus making your soul feel doubt.

Can you honestly say you trust the love
That only for you I feel
Or will you force my heart to silence
The love it has yet to feel?

If I told you that I loved you
Would you say you loved me too?
Or will that forever remain a secret
That I’ll be too afraid to tell you?

When you tell me that you care my love
I want so much to believe
But your lies of the past and my fears for us now
Insist that you will soon leave.

If I sound afraid my dear sweet child
If I seem too insecure
It’s because dishonesty, mistrust, and lies
Are too much for one heart to endure.

I love you like nobody else
And I want this to always exist
As eternal and ever lasting as the seas and shores
As sacred as the fires of our kiss.

I hope you haven’t changed your mind
And that your promise is still true
Even if this means the end of us,
I’ll always remember you.

So as I write this final poem
I hope we carry on
As lovers or friends you must decide,
before my life can go on.

As I close this final verse
The time is 1 25.
I love you and I swear that I always will
Whatever you decide.
